Old school vibes with new school sound
CJ Hammond is originally from Denver, Colorado and has been in the pursuit of his dream in LA for the past 6 years. He says that he can attribute his love for singing and music to his father Carl. For as long as he can remember music has been apart of his life. With his music CJ hopes to bridge the gap of many different genres into one seamless sound that invokes a feeling of the past and brings them into the present. In his short career, CJ has been fortunate to work and collaborate with various chart topping, award winning and nominated producers, writers and musicians such as Mark Rodriguez, Nick Rosen, Arif Elahi, Andrew Joslyn, Steven Felix among others.

CJ’s band is composed of some of the top musicians around. The band includes Composer/Producer & NAACP Theater Image-Award nominee Mark Rodriguez on Keys, Chris Vincent & Arif Elahi on Guitars, Carl McDowell on Bass, Matt Booher on Drums & Grammy-Nominated Songwriter/Producer Andrew Joslyn on Strings (at select shows).
